1966 Plymouth Satellite - Auction - Uncasville, CT - This Satellite is equipped with a 426 HEMI engine and 4-speed transmission. Has correct Dana 60 rear. The car was decoded by Galen Govier prior to restoration. This car is a Satellite built with the 426 HEMI engine 4-speed transmission and a Dana 60 rear end. It is one of 503 cars produced in this form. The car was decoded by Galen Govier prior to the restoration for accuracy and validity. The rotisserie restoration of the rust-free body was performed between the years 2000 and 2005. It has only been driven 83 miles since to validate proper performance and a road test for Hemmings Muscle Car magazine. Because it was a thorough restoration the odometer was started at zero miles. The car was completely disassembled including removing the doors hood and trunk lid prior to stripping and painting. The engine was completely rebuilt and set to the factory 10.5:1 compression ratio. The only upgrade inside the engine was the camshaft which is now a solid-lifter roller camshaft. The new Process A833 transmission received new bearings seals and synchronizers. The Dana 60 rear was only cosmetically restored as that was all it needed. All other components have been rebuilt or replaced. The car has the correct direct-drive starter which was unique to this era of HEMI 4-speed cars. Every piece of chrome on the car was replated every piece of aluminum trim was re-anodized and every piece of stainless trim was repolished. The car runs and drives as good as it looks.
